Our Office Policies

We look forward to seeing you on your scheduled appointment date. If you are a new patient, information will be sent to you in an effort to streamline the check-in process and answer any questions you may have regarding your visit. We will be contacting you the day before your appointment to confirm the appointment date and time. When you check-in for your appointment, we will need to copy your insurance card(s) in order to bill your insurance company.

North Central Ophthalmology accepts cash and personal checks as well as the following credit cards:

  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • Discover

All co-payments and deductibles are due at the time of service. This includes payment for any surgical procedures, which is usually taken care of in advance. 

Appointments & Cancellations

In the event that you need to cancel your appointment, kindly provide prior notice. Your consideration in this matter will allow us to accommodate other patients who could benefit from an appointment.


Emergency after-hours coverage is provided by Dr. Hernandedz or one of the physicians in his call-group. The doctor can be reached by dialing the answering service at (210) 258-5105.
